Many thanks to all of my creative colleagues who entered blog titles in my blog naming contest. Kudos to Tonia for brainstorming the winning entry..."Diggin' It Down Under." The purpose of this blog is to document and share my learning experiences while in Melbourne this summer (or this winter, as it will be in Australia during my travels). Currently, I have scheduled visits to eight primary schools with the purpose of delving into their diverse kitchen garden programs. Thank you, thank you google maps....this has made it much easier to plan and coordinate with schools that are 9000 miles away! With the aid of blogger.com, I'll be able to share the sights and sounds of what's happening in the gardens and kitchens of schools that are half a world away! What did we do before the conveniences of the internet? I begin my Australian learning adventure on July 28th....check back frequently through mid August for photos, videos and updates.
